InterCommunity Cancers Centers Welcomes New Radiation Oncologist -
Dr. Bobby Harrison Joins InterCommunity Cancer Centers’
Radiation Therapy Team
LEESBURG, Fla. — InterCommunity Cancer Centers announced today that Bobby E. Harrison, M.D. has joined its team of radiology oncology experts at its state-of-the-art cancer centers in Leesburg and Lady Lake. Dr. Harrison, board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology, specializes in the treatment of breast, lung, melanoma, prostate and gynecologic cancers and is experienced in high dose rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, 3-D treatment planning, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
Trained in bio-oxidative therapies, Dr. Harrison utilizes a holistic and complementary approach (conventional therapy and alternative medicine) to provide patients the highest level of medical care.
Prior to her arrival, Dr. Harrison served as a radiation oncologist at several respected cancer centers and groups in Florida including Cancer Centers of Florida in Orlando, Florida Radiation Oncology Group, North Florida Cancer Centers and Cancer Hope Treatment Centers in Lake City and Live Oak as well as North Florida Cancer Institute in Gainesville. She has also practiced at Uropartners Prostate Center in Glenview, IL and Cancer CarePoint, Inc. in Decatur, GA
Dr. Harrison is an active member in local medical communities including the Quality Improvement Council and Women’s Health Advisory Board at Lake City Medical Center as well as the Cancer Committee at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She is also a frequent speaker at community health lectures regarding the latest radiation therapy treatments for cancer patients.

Dr. Harrison received a bachelor of science degree in Nursing at Medical University of Southern Carolina in Charleston, SC and earned her medical degree from Eastern California University Medical School in Greenville, NC. She interned at Pitt County Memorial Hospital’s Department of Internal Medicine in Greenville, NC and completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
