NorthMain Radiation Oncology Earns Accreditation

NorthMain Radiation Oncology has been awarded its sixth consecutive three-year term of accreditation in Radiation Oncology as the result of a recent review and site visit by the American College of Radiology.

The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after an on-site peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

The survey team assesses the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment, then reports its findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.

“ACR’s re-accreditation of NorthMain Radiation Oncology is a credit to our dedicated team of nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists and radiation oncologists who are committed to providing excellence in medical care to our cancer patients,” said Dr. Nicklas Oldenburg, president of the practice, in a news release. “We hold ourselves to an extremely high standard and believe that our patients deserve the very best cancer care available anywhere in the nation.”

Along with Oldenburg, the practice includes Drs. Donald Joyce, Gabriela Masko, Kathy Radie-Keane and Scott Triedman.
