Steven Lane, MD

Dr. Lane graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors and Distinction. While at UNC, he was selected for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Medical Degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC, where he was twice honored with a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship.  Dr. Lane completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill and his Residency in Radiation Oncolgoy at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. He was previously an attending physician at MGH, where he was also Instructor of Radiation Oncolgoy at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lane is a highly regarded board-certified radiation oncologist. He specializes in gynecological cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer in addition to general radiation oncology. He has extensive experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.  He is Chief of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, and also serves as Chair of the Cancer Committee for the Signature Healthcare system.
