Dawson and Starr visit Evansville for a great cause

Hall of Fame quarterbacks Bart Starr and Len Dawson were both in Evansville on Thursday speaking at the 5th Annual "Men`s Night Out Tackling Prostate Cancer."
The event provided the community important education about early detection and why annual screenings are crucial in the fight against prostate cancer.
The event takes on a special meaning to Dawson who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1990 at a free screening that was offered in his community. Dawson caught it in time and is free of the disease. He hopes that his story will provide inspiration to others and help serve as a reminder to men that they must become more vigilant about receiving annual exams.
Starr and Dawson were opposing quarterbacks in the first Super Bowl. Starr led his Green Bay Packers over Dawson`s Kansas City Chiefs 35-10 on January 15th, 1967.
