NorthMain Radiation Oncology Hosts Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy

Local Cancer Center Provides Tour of State-of-the-Art Facility and Discusses Health Care’s Economic Challenges

PROVIDENCE, RI.  – NorthMain Radiation Oncology was excited to welcome a very special guest to its state-of-the-art cancer center on Tuesday, December 16 – Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy. The cancer center’s expert team of radiation oncologists and nurses had the distinct pleasure of providing Congressman Kennedy a private tour of its facility and offered a closer look at the innovative radiation technologies being utilized to help fight all forms of cancer.   

President Gabriela Masko, M.D. and radiation oncologists Donald R. Joyce, M.D., Nicklas B.E. Oldenburg, Kathy Radie-Keane, M.D. and Scott A Triedman, M.D. were honored to have Congressman Kennedy at their facility and believed it enabled them to discuss the clinical and economic challenges that lie ahead in the fight against cancer.

“It was an honor to have Congressman Kennedy visit our cancer center and we were excited to show him just how effective cancer care can be when you combine clinical excellence with compassionate care,” said Dr. Masko. “As our country’s health care system continues to face immense economic and access to care issues, it is important that our government is able to meet the doctors and nurses who are working on the frontlines to provide patients high quality health care.”
