Leslie E. Botnick, MD – Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder
A board certified Radiation Oncologist practicing at The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills, Dr. Botnick is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Vantage Oncology. In addition, he is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group. Previously at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Dr. Botnick was Medical Director of Radiation Oncology.
With more than 40 publications on Breast Cancer, Hodgkin’s disease, Head and Neck Cancer and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Repair, he is named as a leading physician for the treatment of Breast Cancer in Good Housekeeping Magazine and listed in Who’s Who of Doctors in America. In addition, Dr. Botnick is associated with several Health Systems throughout Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties in California, including the nationally renowned John Wayne Cancer Institute. His areas of expertise include: Breast, Prostate, Lung, Head and Neck, Pancreatic, and Colorectal Cancer as well as Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
At Metropolitan Hospital in New York, he served an internship in internal medicine and did his residency at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy in Boston where he later became Chief Resident. Dr. Botnick earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College followed by a Medical Degree from New York Medical College.

Christopher M. Rose, MD, FACR – Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Christopher Rose is a board certified Radiation Oncologist and serves as Medical Director of The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills. Dr. Rose is both the Technical and Associate Director of Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group and a Co-Founder of Vantage Oncology. He received his B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and M.D. from Harvard Medical School. Upon graduation, he served an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, followed by a residency in Radiation Oncology at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy. Dr. Rose was a Visiting Clinical Scientist at the Institute for Cancer Research, Royal Marsden Hospital, University of London in Great Britain. He was an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rose was Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the professional society of Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Rose is Past President of the Council of Affiliated Regional Radiation Oncology Societies of the American College of Radiology, Past President of the California Radiation Oncology Society, and Counselor of the American College of Radiology. He was the Expert Physician reviewer for radiation oncology for the California Medicare Carrier and advisor to the Health Care Financing Agency Clinical Practice Expense Panel. He is currently a member of the Medicare Coverage Advisory Commission and Vice Chair of the NCI-sponsored Quality Research in Radiation Oncology Study. Dr. Rose has published more than 50 articles on the treatment of Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer, Head and Neck Cancer and physico-chemical methods of radiation sensitization. He is one of three radiation oncologists who received the Donald Coffey Clinician Scientist Award of the Prostate Cancer Foundation. He is the 2008 Gold Medalist of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is listed in Best Doctors in America. Areas of expertise include Prostate, Breast, Skin, Rectal, Esophageal, and Lung Cancer as well as Bone Metastases.

Albert E. Holt, IV, MD, MBA – Executive Vice President for Clinical Strategies
As Vantage’s Executive Vice President for Clinical Strategies, Dr. Holt supports the creation of oncology partnerships, enhances our value demonstration of Vantage services through improved analytics and metrics, and improves the performance of the clinical and operational teams. He has served as Chief Medical Officer of a catastrophic injury specialty company, where he worked collaboratively with clinical operations to gain efficiencies, reduce MLR (medical loss ratio), and achieve markedly increased patient volumes and clinical performance. He has also been the Senior Vice President at a national care and disease management company, where he ensured adherence to the best standards of medical practice and patient advocacy, and restructured the industry’s largest oncology case management program to incorporate new expertise and a blended model of onsite and telephonic case management, while enhancing the subspecialty expertise around oncology. He has published on estimating the clinical and economic impact of case and disease management programs.
Dr. Holt is board certified in internal medicine and critical care, and is an active critical care physician in Washington, DC. He holds multiple faculty appointments in Boston and Washington, DC metropolitan area medical schools. He earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and his MBA in Medical Management from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his internal medicine training at Vanderbilt University, and fellowship training in critical care at the National Institutes of Health. His work at NIH included comparing clinical outcomes for HIV and respiratory failure in the era before and after the introduction of protease inhibitors, as well as the impact of community income on the performance of invasive procedures in the same population.

Eliot S. Levitt – Vice President of Informatics
Mr. Levitt works closely with Vantage Oncology's clinical department to provide technology that supports the practice of outcomes-based medicine. He has more than 14 years of progressive experience in technology development. Mr. Levitt previously held engineering leadership positions at DoubleClick Inc., most recently serving as Vice President of Engineering for Diameter, DoubleClick's research division. He also served as Director of Project Management and Technical Consulting Services at WebVision Inc., an e-commerce technology infrastructure company. Mr. Levitt has a BA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |

A. Madjid Aïssi, PhD – Vice President, Medical Physics
Dr. Aïssi is a board certified Medical Physicist who holds an MA in Nuclear Applied Sciences and a PhD in Medical Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. After graduating, he worked at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia where he served as Chief Medical Physicist. In 1988 he joined the University of California, Irvine, as an Associate Professor before leading the Division of Medical Physics. In 1997, he formed Medical Radiation Physics, Inc., a company providing clinical medical physics services in Southern California. Dr. Aïssi has participated in the startup of many radiation oncology centers offering the latest equipment technologies and treatment modalities. His interests include the implementation of these advanced technologies at the community level to promote their use for the general cancer population. He has published several papers related to the physics of radiation. Additionally, he speaks French and Arabic. |

Marc R. Sontag, PhD, FAAPM – Vice President, Physics Planning and Development
Based in Pittsburgh, Dr. Marc Sontag will focus on key strategic opportunities that will be developed in concert with Vantage’s clinical leadership and implemented throughout Vantage’s network of radiation therapy centers.
Dr. Sontag received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Bucknell University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where he studied with Johns and Cunningham. Dr. Sontag’s thesis on the ETAR method of heterogeneity correction remains a standard calculation method. His thirty years of experience in the physics realm include an academic appointment at the University of Pennsylvania followed by academic appointments and Director of Physics positions at Duke University, the University of Tennessee and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Sontag had several years of experience in senior executive positions with D3 Radiation Planning and was Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Dr. Sontag has published more than 50 articles on various aspects of medical physics. |

Beatrice Mautner, RN, MSN, OCN® – Vice President, Nursing and Clinical Services
Beatrice Mautner has rejoined Vantage Oncology in 2011 as Vice-President Nursing and Clinical Services, to lead the development and implementation of clinical improvement strategies and the Vantage Oncology Clinical Research and Patient Outcomes program. Beatrice brings to Vantage 30 years nursing, radiation oncology and management experience. She was the Clinical Nursing Coordinator for Valley Radiotherapy Associates and then helped set up the initial clinical programs for VantageOncology as the Vice President of Clinical Programs. Most recently, Beatrice spent 7 years in the Scientific Affairs Department at Amgen, Inc.
Ms. Mautner is past chair of the ASTRO Nursing Committee and is a member of ASTRO, ASCO and ONS. She has published a number of oncology nursing related articles. Beatrice received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude Honors from the Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix.
